A Day at Villa Letizia

A Day at Villa Letizia is a contemplative work that forms part of the series Thirty-Six Views of the Everyday, inspired by Hokusai’s Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji. However, rather than focusing on a single visual subject, the series proposes thirty-six views of an ordinary day, where any element can become the catalyst for the artist’s attention. Set between the garden and interior rooms of Villa Letizia in Treviso, the film follows two figures moving slowly through the space, guided by light, sound, and silence rather than narrative action. Accompanied by a poetic voice-over by poet François Labiétrie and a metaphysical score by Valerio Pascucci, the film invites attentive looking, revealing how the everyday, when observed patiently, can unfold as a quiet landscape of presence, memory, and subtle transformation.
