Along the Fields of Treviso

"Along the Fields of Treviso" is a video work inspired by the series "Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji" by Hokusai. Following a solitary figure cycling through an ordinary agricultural landscape near the provincial city of Treviso, Italy, the work reflects on transformation as a quiet, underlying process. Surfaces, water, soil, and vegetation are approached as thresholds through which change is already taking form. What appears still carries tension, memory, and a sense of waiting. Composed of fragments, the work observes minor forms of life, residual gestures, and distant disturbances without hierarchy. A poetic voice and a liminal musical score move together, sustaining a state of attention rather than building a narrative. Change emerges at the end not as rupture, but as a slow release, a fade out perceptible only when one looks beyond surfaces, where silence continues to move the world.
