Beneath the Fog Veil

Part of a series inspired by Hokusai’s Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji, the film replaces the iconic mountain with an everyday walk through a fog-laden landscape. A solitary figure moves among fields, trees, animals, and signs of devotion, while a voice addresses an unnamed “you,” carrying fatigue, memory, and restrained desire. The fog acts as a silent presence, shaping what appears and what withdraws. As the familiar is patiently observed, the work opens a space of inner listening, where revelation emerges not through arrival, but through attentive return.
