Garden Beneath the Quiet Sky

"Garden Beneath the Quiet Sky" is a contemplative video work inspired by Hokusai’s Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji, but with a crucial shift: instead of focusing on a monumental subject, the work, part of an ongoing series, turns its attention to the ordinary documentation of a rural landscape. Organic textures, oxidized surfaces, and layered landscapes operate as material thresholds, while the sculptural figures from Arturo Martini’s Trilogia dei Re function as symbolic anchors between different temporal registers. The French poem structures the work as a passage from enclosure to inner expansion, redefining freedom as a condition of perception. Through cycles of dissolution and reformation, image and sound articulate an alchemical process in which fragmentation becomes a method, revealing transformation as a gradual unfolding of awareness.
