I See You

Set outside the Temple of Antonio Canova in Possagno, Italy, I See You follows a solitary figure descending a long flight of stairs and pausing to contemplate existence. Images of water, forests, and architectural forms unfold through reflections, creating a quiet space where presence and memory can surface. A poem, recited in both French and Italian, accompanies this journey. Its words move from recognition to acceptance, from the search for light to the courage to face one’s own darkness. With the poetic voice of François Labitrie and a metaphysical score by Valerio Pascucci, the work invites us to slow down and look beyond appearances, where seeing becomes listening and each moment carries a sense of time passing. In a fast and restless society, this pause becomes almost necessary, a small space to return to oneself.
