Save Me, O Muse

"Save Me, O Muse" is a contemplative video work from 2024, filmed with my phone during a period of very low self-esteem. An ordinary landscape from my hometown, Treviso, is transformed through slow motion and layered textures, recalling the stillness and atmosphere of a Renaissance painting. Everyday people and gestures appear suspended in time. A poem by my friend François Labitrie accompanies the images, moving through mystery, memory, identity and the feeling of being both inside and outside of existence. It's an invitation for us to look again at the ordinary and to remember something that may have always been there. Special thanks to master musician Valerio Pascucci for his music, and to my mother, Loredana Vistosi for her performance in the work.
